Two recent competitions that had strong masters representation are the British National Championships in Nottingham and the Closing Games in Turnhout, Belgium.
The Masters division of the British Nationals was again won by Ian Cavin on 89 points with Alan Dobbie close behind on 76 points after 500m, 1000m and 800m events.

The Closing Games in Turnhout were won by Keith Wright of Great Britain and this event was closley contested with Keith on 48 points, Jacob Van Den Bosch on 46 point, and Joel Martin of France on 44 points.

OTHER NEWS
During my February trip to Germany, I had discussions with Dr. Volker Serini in relation to the International Masters Short Track Group website and I was asked if I would write that site on behalf of the IMSSG. I agreed to do so and over the off season, I am hoping to improve that site.
I am hoping that master short trackers will come together and attempt to create some designated Masters Short Track events each season.
I would also like to encourage master skaters to utilise the forum board to discuss any issues they see fit. WMST discussion board
Happy off season for most of you for now - although the Australian and New Zealand seasons are kicking off, so I will keep you updated during this time.
